The cause of this is because it helps to boast self-confidence and bring great sense of belonging. In my opinion, I believe that this is a negative trend since its deterimental to health and financial draining.
One of the major reasons for individual apperance-enhacement to look younger is to increase self-worth. Individuals that battle with low self-esteem always have this perception that their body structure is inadequate, thereby pressuring themselves to invest heavy in cosmetics inorder to look young. Moreover the pressure of having the sense of belonging propells people to be cautios of their looks, this spending a lot. For example, older women of Abagana community generally tone their skinand wear expensive transperant clothes so that they can fit in the society.
However, in my view, spendinghuge amount on cosemetic should not be encouraged as first off, it comes with a lots health risks. Some chemicals used in the production of creams, cloths and shoes reacts with the skin which might lead to skin cancer in the future. For instance , according to World health organization in 2023, said that 80% of individuals aged 60-70 yeras that suffers skin cancer resulted from the type of consemetices they used. Also, some inidividuals go extra niles if emptying their pockect so as to achieve their desired physical look and enable them look younger than their age.
In conclusion, nowadays, for some reasons a lots of money are spent on apperance to look younger which is totally unacceptable considering the health implication and costly to afford.
