Band 7+: In recent times, flights have become much more affordable. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this trend?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

These days, the affordability of air travel has been increasing steadily. In this essay, I will explain the primary benefits and drawbacks of this trend. Firstly, I will discuss why flights are more convenient and effective ways of transportation, and secondly, I will elaborate on how this trend could result in increased air and noise pollution and more fuel consumption.

One of the evident merits of having cheaper flight tickets is that people can easily travel to their destinations more quickly and comfortably. In other words, flights provide an array of facilities, such as healthy meals, high-speed internet connectivity, free drinks and juices, different genres of movies and songs, and personalized beds, that make a journey memorable and comfortable. Apart from this, there is no doubt that plans are faster than any other modes of travel. Those who have a shortage of time can get the most out of it. I remember the incident when I had to attend my sister’s wedding, and I only had a few hours to reach the marriage venue. I traveled using a flight and successfully attended the function.

On the other hand, the increase in air travel can lead to more air and noise pollution. To be specific, plans generate an immense amount of noise and release carbon dioxide at the time of takeoff and takeoff, thereby affecting the environment of areas that have air bases. People in such areas often face hearing problems. Moreover, airplanes consume the most fuel compared to other vehicles. As a result, it may put energy sources at risk of depletion.

In conclusion, the price of flights is becoming more affordable. As a result, people can travel swiftly and more comfortably. However, it causes several environmental problems, such as air and noise pollution.
