In modern society, living alone is a step that many people hope to achieve. Nowadays, people feel the need to be more independent and have more privacy, which makes them decide to leave their family’s house. Similar to every decision, moving out brings positive and negative aspects that will be discussed in this essay.
In the modern world, the pressure of becoming independent rises along with a person’s age. If a person is in their thirties and still lives with their parents, society will put pressure on them to be more independent, to leave the house. Moreover, when someone is living with their family privicy is very restrict, especially if they share a room with a sibling. These two reasons are great motivators for a person to decide to live alone.
There are some great positive aspects that this choice can bring to a person, one of them is the range of new skills that can be learned. For example, a person who lives with their family usually does not need to learn how to cook, there is always someone that assures that everthing is perfectly done for them. Taking this big step of living alone will encourage them to learn the new skill of cooking.
On the other hand, some negative aspects appear in the action of living alone, one of them being the solitude. When people live together, they end up overstimulating each other; they always have something to talk about or something to play. When someone leaves a feeling of loneliness can rise inside them.
To conclude, deciding to live alone can be a very challenging step, especially because of the feeling of becoming lonely. However, this action develops some of the most important skills in a person and turns them into a more independent person.
