There is a growing trend where having a significant decline in usage of bicycles as a transportation’s choice. While this shift can be largely attributed to an increase reliance on cars and lack of proper infrastructure for bicycles’ users, I believe that the issue can be effectively addressed through investing budget in bicycle infrastructure and improving public awareness campaigns.
One compelling reason why the need for bicycle diminished nowadays is individual’s dependency on cars. With the affordability and availability of private vehicles allow people to travel with greater speed and comfort, providing air conditioning, protection from the weather, and the ability to carry belongings.Another factor contributing to this problem extends beyond lack of dedicated cycling lanes. With a sense of insecurity, especially in traffic congestion, cyclist become more vulnerable to accidents and it discouraged potential users to adopt bicycles as a means of transport.A perfect case in point would be 90% of bicycle accident deaths are caused by motor vehicles, and even in these types of accidents that don’t result in death, the cyclist is often gravely injured. Thus reliance on cars and unavailable infrastructure systems can be the most driving forces decreasing the number of bicycle users.
To address the deficiency of riding bicycle among people, acquiring money on structure of roads and promoting stronger cycling culture are crucially important. Government and companies should invest their money to creation of safe , designated cycling lanes, while also launching public awareness campaigns.these include, building physically seperated roads and giving information about health benefits, organising community cycling challenges, and establishing bike to work days. For example, Netherland is bike-friendly country which has implemented 35 000 km cycling paths is significantly improved the number of cyclists around this region . By applying this measures, society could encourage using bicycle.
In conclusion, diminish in bicycle usage can be rooted from both reliance on private vehicles and a lack of dedicated cycling infrastructure .However, by implementing financial support from government and enhancing population awareness levels,
