Some professional athletes have gained a large amount of wealth and fame. While some argue that this trend could have detrimental effects due to enhancing a sense of inequality among comminity members, I contend that it can be highly beneficial as a positive motivator for the youth.
Some people believe that when a few sports stars become extraordinary rich and famous, it may result in inequity for not only other athletes, but also those who are involve in other careers and professions. It is inevitavble that there are always a few number of sportsmans who are able to reach the highest achievements, acquiring the mentioned high status. Others, therefore, are not so capable to earn such a huge money. This may lead to a high grade of discripancy between athletes, that is not really the aim of sports. Other professionals, those who spend a long period to study in universities and strive a lot to progress like engineers, physicians and so on, may also feel this inequality according to their salaries and incomes. This can adversely affect the overall well-being of individuals.
However, from my point of view, this trend can be extremely advantageous because it is impressively encourage people, particularly the young, to engage more in sports and physical activity. These athletes can be considered as successful role models that stimulate individuals to participate in different exercises relating to their favourite sports. The more people are motivated to do physical activities, the happier and healthier they become by enormous benefits that physical activity can bring for the body. These role models can also raise their awareness about the significant importance of excessive endevours that is absolutely necessary for achievements.
In conclusion, although astronimic treasure and fame of sports superstars can have drawbacks for society, I advocate affluent sportsmans can positively motivate many individuals, especially the young, to actively pursue their dreams.
