Recently, many changes have appeared in family structures and their members’ roles; one of the main changes is financial responsibility, which I think is impacting women in the family negatively due to pressure.
Obviously, people have changed over the years, which definitely has changed their families as well; a principal change is the financial provision. Since, back in the day, it was the father’s responsibility, while the mother’s role was to take care of her children without worrying about the expenses because their father would provide everything for them. However, the structure has changed; nowadays, it is very common for the mother to take not only the responsibility but also to contribute financially by 50% in the expenses related to the family, and those types of relationships are called “50/50 relationships.”
Definitely, I think that these changes have a negative impact on the woman in the relationship, since it results in pressure on them, because originally the mother used to look after children’s nutrition, clothes, and health, especially when they are newborns, while doing the house chores at the same time, and this is already a huge pressure that men never experienced; so, adding other responsibilities makes it destructive and suffering like a nightmare for mothers. For example, thinking of a mother with two or three young children that she needs to prepare for school and a chaotic house that needs to be clean and a husband that will need dinner when he comes, it is disturbing.
To conclude, one of the changes that has occurred in family structure and its members’ roles is the way of providing money to the family, and I think it impacts mothers negatively by putting them under pressure.
