In recent years, many young people have started choosing to delay marriage and parenthood. This has been so popular that it became a tren has become a common trend among younger generations. Although this trend can be attributed to various causes and consequences, this essay will point out the main reasons and effects of it on both individuals and the society.

Firstly, the trend of delaying marriage and parenthood appears on young people because they want to pursue their goals. Many people nowadays have lots of aims such as earning money from their jobs, gaining more experiences, accumulating knowledge, etc. Moreover, there are many things and dreams that people mostly can not do when they become parents. For example, freedom is one of the most things that parents can not do, because of their kids, family, chores, etc. In addition, the high cost of living and raising children can lead to economic pressure on adults.

According to these causes listed above, we can see that there are many effects of this. Firstly, for individuals, they will be able to have a career development, such as having a stable job, and being able to use their own money which they earn themselves. Not only that, health problems are also one of the effects of the trend of young people choosing to delay marriage and parenthood. If young people do not give birth to children early enough, they can be heavily affected by it. Science has proven that having kids at old ages like 40, 41, 42, etc could affect people’s health negatively. Thirdly, for society, this trend will lower the birth rate of the world. This can lead to a slower population growth, that can be a negative effect of it. Moreover, traditional families will become less common as young people do not want to follow “the old way”. But if they focus more on work and not be affected by the obstacles from family, they will be able to make more money, and develop their quality of life. Therefore, economic development will be able to appear in every country around the world.

In conclusion, the trend of young people choosing to delay marriage and parenthood among young people nowadays is a well-known problem that has positive and negative effects to both individuals and the society.
