In the past decades, people have considered the correlation of whether individuals can achieve more in egalitarian societies or not. Also, a main viewpoint presents that high levels of personal achievement are reachable only when individuals have the freedom to succeed or fail depending on their individual merits. From my perspective, I agree with the idea that individuals can achieve higher levels of goals only when they are allowed to achieve their advantages in a competitive environment.
On one side of the argument, some people hold the opinion that to be at the peak of a society you need to be in equal conditions. What the society promotes is that if we were in the same region which had the same law, it is easier to achieve the highest level of our personal achievement. For example, in most well-developing companies, we are able to have men, women, young, or even older workers. This diversity is due to the individuals who hold the power or the person with the best skills instead of looking at the genre or the age.
Despite the aforementioned views, some people believe that their personal achievement depends on their individual merits. I agree with this viewpoint since a competing society could lead more to their self accomplishment. When people had their own freedom in choosing their pathway instead of being criticized or judged, the key which led to their succession would just be their potential and hardwork.
To sum up, both viewpoints had their pros and cons and stood for their supporters, nevertheless, I do not agree with the first point of view.
