It is often are you that in a few Nations, individuals’s preference for eating vegetarian diet is being increased significantly. Although it can lead to deficiency of some essential nutrients, I believe that the benefits of vegetarian diet outweigh its advantages, and I will elaborate on my stance in the subsequent paragraphs, leading to a logical conclusion.
To begin with, the most significant advantage of the vegetarian diet is that it has immense positive impact on the health. That is to say, the foods include in vegetarian diet are quite beneficial to make humans’ digestion system healthy, such as some green leafy vegetables are the most common example of this. Additionally, in majority of countries, buying vegetables is slightly cheaper than purchasing the meet; hence, most of individuals in these countries usually prioritize to eat vegetables. For instance, in majority of developing Nations, such as India, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh, their citizens are more inclined towards vegetarian food due to their easy availability and affordable prices.
On the other hand, vegetarian diet also has a notable disadvantage. Sometimes eating only vegetarian meal can also lead to deficiency of some vital nutrients. In other words, it is slightly difficult to fulfill our human body’s protein requirement by only eating vegetarian meal, because they have a very minimum amount of protein. For example, according to a survey report on human health, majority of individuals in India, who follow only vegetarian diet, are suffering from protein energy malnutrition. However, I believe that it is not a pressing issue, people can full fill their protein requirement by consuming protein powders nowadays.
In conclusion, even though the affected requirement of some specific nutrients due to following vegetarian solely, I reckon that its merits including remarkable positive impact on the physical health and easy availability of vegetarian food, outweigh the demerits.
