Band 5+: In some countries, many individuals are becoming more interested to know about the history of the place where they live in.

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

The number of people who are interested in the history of their own house or building where they live is increasing in some countries. There are a few reasons for it. Some individuals check the history of their house to find out legality, as such the previous owner’s children can require and take back his land as they also have rights for the building. Usually people search for information about their house on the Internet or talk to the neighbours.

A numerous owners are looking for information about the history of their land to avoid conflicts with the previous owner’s children as they may have rights for the house in a few countries. Some countries have laws that protect the rights of the owner’s heirs consequently it causes problems for current owners who just lose their property. For instance, the heir takes back the father’s house because he had rights to have this home according to the law of Italy and the current person who lived there just lost his home.

In addition, people like looking for their home’s history to a famous person who lived there in the past. This kind of information helps people to increase prices for their land as some people are fans of some individuals such as Sherlock Holms or William Shakespear in Britain.

Finally these reasons call interest from owners that help people to avoid conflicts or sell the house much more expensive.
