In recent years, increasing numbers of people are deciding to live alone, particularly in large countries. While it helps you to become self-independent, in contrast to that this loneliness can further affect your severe mental health. In my opinion, there are both positives and negatives consequences in an equal measure.
The rise of a person in a family choosing to live alone can help him grow as an adult. This can make him feel more confident and self-reliant than a person living with his family. A young adult you lives alone, for example, needs to learn to cook, clean, pay bills and manage his budget, all these are valuable skills and help in a positive development of a person. These ultra-challenging experiences are paradoxically the main advantage of living alone and will make you grow as a person.
However, despite of preferring to stay alone it can affect your mental state of mind. The person who gets happy for having independence tend to have the feeling of loneliness, isolation and depression. For example, they will not have anyone to talk with among family or flatmates, resulting in a mental illness. Perhaps, this can be the major disadvantage putting yourself into a mental condition.
In conclusion, Though individuals are choosing to live away from their family for developing himself, he can also be affected by some severe detrimental effects. As a contradiction of sorts, it can have both the positive as well as negative development.
