The popularity of personal fitness trainers has been grown recently, on the grounds that some people prefer to do sports with a personal coach rather than to do exercise classes. I believe that this stems from the fast-paced modern life, leaving limited time for individuals spend doing their personal activities. From my perspective, this is a negative development since individuals lose the opportunity to make friends and enjoy communication. This essay will examine the reason for people’s preferences to solitude sports and discuss its drawback.
Regardless of how wealthy people are, most of individuals work for long hours, either to increase their income or to have better job prospects and get promotion. As a result, they have short time for the rest of their daily life tasks, such as sports. Therefore, people feel they will not be able to do exercises unless they hire a fitness trainer to shorten the training duration. For instance, my brother who works until evening work out at home under his personal coach supervision in the mid-night.
Although it is better to exercise alone than not to exercise at all, people will not experience the pleasure of group sports. Undoubtedly, not only is playing with others more exciting, but it also helps people socialize with other group members and extend their connections. Should someone stick with their personal environment, they will get bored and even feel loneliness, which is a strong risk factor for depression. Having played basketball since my childhood, I made close bonds with other players, who are my best friends now. For this reason, I believe that personal training is a negative development.
In conclusion, the fast-paced city life and heavy workload have led to a rise in people’s desire to private training. However, they lose the benefits of exercise classes, which provide a friendly environment. I highly recommend people to allocate a part of their daily routine for group sports.
