At the present, the majority of adults don’t want to continue their studies after graduating school. Instead, they prefer to continue it later. Some significant factors lead to make this phenomenon common among adults. From my point of view, the advantages of this method cannot outweigh the disadvantages.
There are some advantages of this case which make adults study later. First and foremost, they may have worries in terms of finance. When they take a gap year, they can improve their financial stability and continue their education without worrying about accommodation and tuition fees. Subsequently, they will have an opportunity to explore their interests and try new things. They can make informed decisions in terms of their future paths during the time.
However, this trend can lead to some negative outcomes. When school graduators take a time out before applying to university, they tend to forget all of educational information which they gained during the school period. In this case, they may find entering universities difficult. This is because, they can’t absorb in academic subjects over time. Additionally, when they get older, they can’t find extra time for education. This is because, their mind has already obsessed with life issues, including building relationships with others and making an honest living.
In conclusion, it is more common among adolescents to continue their education later. There are some factors, which trigger this phenomenon, such as financial issues or making decisions in terms of future career. This trend has not only negative, but also positive sides. As far as I’m concerned, the advantages can’t outweigh the disadvantages.
