In certain states, the popularity of homeschooling has been increasing, as there are more parents who choose to educate their children at home as an alternative to sending them to private and public schools. Even though there are some viable benefits of homeschooling, they do not compensate for all other drawbacks, meaning formal education must remain a preferred choice.
The reasons why homeschooling are widely spread among parents are obvious. Firstly, educating children under home condition could clear off a threat of kidnapping which actually is on the rise in many parts of the world these days. This creates a safer environment for children’s learning, at the same time, parents do not have to worry about their children being kidnapped or harmed. Another reason is that in schools, bullying is one of the common and illegal activities among students. Children who seem weak or are unable to defend themselves are always bullied at schools. As a result, one’s life suffers from injuries which in turn, can have some adverse impact on their continuous learning.
Attending to schools, on the other hand, provides children with many opportunities. One of them is communication, that allows youngsters to find their belongings in society. Being engaged in communicating with classmates constantly can help to develop cognitive skills and foster creativity which are of value throughout life-time. In addition, educational institutions can provide students with quality education and well-structured, school curriculum which they can not find at home. This is because, schools are prioritized to educate students with flexible schedules and they are monitored during classes, which can lead to a better understanding of the class.
Although, homeschooling is deemed to have some alternatives, traditional schooling can provide way better opportunities and personal traits including, quality education systems and fostered communication skills.
