Firstly, technology and medical advancement increase the sense of security for people who choose to have a baby in older age. In the past, part of the reason for people incline to pregnant in earlier life stage was because a younger physical condition could have advantage when it comes to after rehab of giving birth. However, this concern could be mitigated with progression of medical technic. Besides, the changes of modern society also play an important influence. Nowadays, society often highlight the importance on individual’s career success. Therefore, people in present-day society tend to consider having babies after they achieve a temporary goal in their career.
In my opinion, the disadvantages of this development outweigh the advantages. On the one hand, some people highlight the advantage that parents would have more stable finance situation if they choose to have babies in later life stage. Thus, they could be more promising to offer high quality life to their children. However, those proponents often neglect that company is the most important thing for babies. Taking care of babies is a really tired thing, people who choose to have babies in older age may not possess sufficient physical strength and turn to ask help from caregivers. Eventually causing lack of relation between parent and children.
