Nowadays, in some countries, many people are choosing to have their first child at an older age. Although some may find it risky for kid’s health due to age-related health problems of the parents, I believe that the advantages of this choice outweigh the disadvantages, as it allows people to have a more stable financial status for raising their children.
The main drawback of having a first child at an older age is the increased risks of kid’s health, because of age-related health problems of their parents. The human body has limited resources, which gradually diminish over time, leading to a decline in overall health with each passing year. This issue can cause difficulties with conception and may also affect the development of the fetus, as the mother’s health directly influences the health of the unborn child. Indeed, older mothers are more likely to experience complications during pregnancy, which leads to a higher risk with future kid’s health.
However, I believe that there are obvious advantages to having the first child at an older age due to the more stable financial status for raising their children. By this time, parents usually have a stable job, accumulated savings, and established careers, ensuring their child will not experience a lack of necessities. This financial stability allows parents to provide a secure and comfortable environment for their child, including access to quality education, healthcare, and other essential resources.
To conclude, although having a child at an older age is risky for child’s health, because of age-related health problems of their parents, I am convinced that the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages as older parents can provide more financial stability for their child’s.
