It is sometimes argued that older population will cause problems for society and governments. However, I believed that an ageing population provides many benefits in terms of their work experiences and community works.
A widely held belief is that old people can cause some drawbacks for their country and affect residents’ quality of life. Due to the fact we are living in digital era nowadays, some adults may find it very difficult to keep up with the latest technological devices. Many jobs rely on cutting edge technology to work faster and help workers to create ideas. If older people could not adapt with this, it will make them work slower. Furthermore, this can affect their quality of live. Older people may get stressed to work with new innovation items. If they quit their jobs, this will lead to mental health problems as well. As a result, these issues can affect economic growth because country does not have employees who are more creative.
On the other hand, it is claimed that older population can provide many benefits for governments, business and society. Firstly, older workers have more experiences. They learn from the mistakes of the past so these can help them solve probelms such as economic crisis or political problems. Secondly, aging population can help to promote a country’s cultural identity. For example, Japanese has life spans longer than other countries. These can promote the way of living, which can attract many tourists to visit. Furthermore, local businesses and goverments will receive greater money from those who visit country as well. Last but not least, old adults can contribute to help society by creating programs such as handicrafts.
In my opinion, I believe that older generation contributes their help a lot for every sectors. Their life experience will help them to solve problems quickly, so many business or government will receive many advantages. Additionally, they can give their advices for younger generation through campaigns that establishs in society.
In conclusion, although most people say that old people are useless and problematic, I argue that they help a lot in order to cope with problems and help people. I believe that there will be more choices for older people to work in the future.
