Most people on the world still cope with hunger although the techniques used in agriculture are being advanced day by day. There are a number of causes of this but certain measures could be taken to alleviate this problem.
There are several causes of this situation. The main one is that people use cutting edge technology in machines to cultivate and collect the crops instead of using animals and manpower. This leads to decreasing work opportunities and people living on the outskirts become jobless. They cannot earn money enough to fulfil even their basic needs such as food and medicines. For instance, we can see many poor in the rural areas and baggers at the most crowded areas in the country of Myanmar although it is well known for agriculture at higher rate in Asia. In addition, in spite of the advances made in agriculture, there are a lot of impacts by natural catastrophe. For example, global warming and drought can kill insects and plants. Landlords do not get qualified crops so that they cannot import to local markets and to foreign countries. They may face money shortage and they may not provide salaries to their workers.
Various possible courses of action could be taken in order to tackle the above. In the first place, landlords should not forget about the conventional way in agriculture with the help of workers. Because machines can have technical errors and limited lifespans. Some tasks cannot be accomplished without human workers. By giving them job vacancies, they can make money. Secondly, government and organizations should provide the campaign for nature conservation and awareness of global warming. By protecting the natural disasters, plants can grow well in the farms and give the best quality. As a result, people can earn more money and solve the problem of being hungry.
In conclusion, various factors have led to problems related to poverty but this situation could be addressed by the help of government and public.
