It is often argued that Artificial Intelligence (AI) will take over many jobs, leading to significant unemployment. While I acknowledge that AI can have negative effects on the job market – such as a decrease in the number of employees in certain fields – I strongly oppose the notion that AI will replace most human jobs or cause serious unemployment and social unrest.
One compelling argument in support of my position is that AI exists solely in the digital realm and cannot handle the technical or practical aspects of many jobs. This is mainly because AI was created by people to assist humans and does not have the aim of replacing them. In summary, AI helps individuals complete their work more efficiently and offers advantages like saving time and quickly researching information. For example, while AI can assist lawyers in drafting legal documents, it cannot replace their presence in court. Similarly, doctors can rely on AI for swift access to medical information, but it cannot be permitted to perform medical operations.
Another important point to consider is that AI not only helps improve existing job fields but also contributes to the creation of new ones. Admittedly, AI may reduce some staff positions in certain industries, but from my perspective, this should not lead to serious unemployment problems or social instability. On the contrary, newly created jobs can help alleviate social imbalance. For instance, the development of AI has given rise to new legal fields such as AI law, AI ethics, and technology law.
In conclusion, although I agree that AI can cause some challenges in the job market, I believe it cannot replace humans in most roles because AI cannot perform tasks the same way people can. On the other hand, we should not be afraid of AI; it also offers numerous advantages, including the expansion of job opportunities.
