It is argued that, in the future, free online newspapers will become popular among people, which will cause printed newspapers or books to stop being bought. I completely agree with this view, because online reading is convenient and it prevents deforestation.

One of the arguments in favor of online newspapers and books becoming popular in the future instead of printed ones is their convenience. While searching for information online, we are able to get not only the latest news but also information from the past, which is challenging to get offline. Moreover, it is available to read them while sitting at home without going to libraries and bookstores. Despite this, most online newspapers are free or available for a low subscription fee, making them more affordable.

Another point supporting this is the prevention of deforestation. Obviously, printed newspapers and books demand vast amounts of paper, and this paper is taken from nature by cutting trees in the forests. In turn, the reduction of trees causes deforestation, which leads to environmental problems, such as climate change, because trees act as natural carbon sinks. While using online newspapers, people can prevent deforestation, as online platforms do not demand such materials.

In conclusion, online reading is expected to become popular because of its convenience and its prevention of deforestation, which will cause printed newspapers to be requested less year over year, making them disappear.
