As the world is evolving rapidly, the ways of communication would also evolve. Few say that the image is becoming powerful way of communication than written texts. Although this has pros and cons. I firmly believe that image indeed is a powerful way of communicating. This essay covers both the points and my opinion.
During the past, humans showed more interests towards the written texts like newspapers or magazines to stay updated. A fewer proportion of them also had interests in reading books of various genre like fictional, motivational, or biopic. People living distant apart, used to communicate with letters. This shows that written texts were the only source for a writer to express their feelings. This also makes clear that the previous generations had excellent grip over the language which made them communicate effectively only through word. Later on, as the technology updates boomed, changes were introduced in ways of communication by inventions like telephones or emails. Though people did not like the change, later on they used it adversely, because it did not affect their language skills. For instance, email was considered the best source of communication as people could go back and forth during edits where as it was not the same while writing books.
Surprisingly, the world updated consistently. This consistency made the transition of texts into images as latest way of communication. Initially images were considered only to be done by artists. As people started to understand why the artists would come up with certain drawings or paintings, even this was considered another way of communication. Typically, this was done during the revolution periods as it would be influencing the people. As the technology again evolved these drawings were changed into photograph or films resulting in a newer way of communicating. People who wanted to make a certain influence on others, visualization is considered the best way in doing it because our brain would process the visual information faster than the texts. For instance, the film directors, took as an advantage and started to depict the information people did not knew for centuries, making this way of communication popular and powerful.
To sum up, though we cannot deny the fact that written texts were a powerful way of communication. In my opinion, as the world updates, all factors are generally evolved. Therefore, the image (photograph or film) is considered to become and will become a greater powerful way of communication in the near future.
