Band 4+: In the past, lectures were the traditional method of teaching large numbers of students in a classroom. Nowadays new technology is increasingly being used to teach students. What are the advantages and disadvantages of this new approach in teaching?

Now, technology became part of people’s life and replaced old methods of teaching and studying.

There are three main benefits. First of all, technology may help students improve essential skills which could help in the future, moreover through technology many students would know how to use computer literacy which demanded in modern world. Secondly, technology include interactive methods and make studying unusual. It could be games, puzzles and creative tasks. In several schools majority of teachers are already use this methods. Thirdly, many students are will able to choose online studying, which allow them study from everywhere and do not waste time to get to destination.

Nevertheless there have a few drawbacks such as addition from technology, a lot of parents complain that kids use phones too much and could not focus on another things.Moreover ,instead of learning something new, students could get distracted on social media and procrastinate. Also using technology may lead to loosing live communication between teachers and students. In addition many students are will not able to get instant feedback and lose motivation because of that. In the end want to add that if you study online, you will not have possibilities to attend on the lesson.

In conclusion, while there are a lot of benefits to studying with new methods, students would lost live communication with each other. But on the other hand, there are a lot possibilities to improve you creative thinking and learn more about computer literacy.
