Previously, many employees commuted to their workplaces. However, with the growing use of digital technology, more people are now shifting to work from their homes. In this essay, I will discuss both pros and cons of this development.
It is undeniable that working from home saves a lot of time. This is because employees no longer need to spend time on travelling to the office. While people used to spend one to two hours from their houses to their designated workplace, they now can spend that time more effectively. For example, they can spend it with their loved ones or they can spend it at gyms nearby to their homes.
Another advantage of working from home is the ability to save more money. This is due to employees no longer to spend on transportation. They do not have to allocate their budget to car maintenance or gasoline, which can be expensive. Instead, they can save and spend it for other purposes. For instance, they can save for emergencies or they can spend on child’s education.
In contrast, there are various cons of working from houses. For example, when employees rely too much on technology, they may feel lonely as they interact less with people. They also might get depression or experience physical issues such as back pain or office syndrome.
In conclusion, despite the fact that working from home can cause depression and other problems, time and money saved by employees means that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
