In today’s rapidly changing world, the consumption of fast food amongst the younger generation has increasingly increased, raising concerns about long-term consequences. Meanwhile, others suppose that, schools should play a vital role in addressing this issue by emphasizing the principles of good nourishment as well as healthy good habits. In my personal point of view, I completely agree that, integrating nutritional education into school curriculum is essential for fostering a lifelong healthy lifestyle.

There are several benefits to integrating nutritional education in schools. Primarily and foremost, young generation frequently lack the necessary knowledge to make informed food choices, and schools are in a strong position to fill this gap. By learning about balanced diets, reading food labels, and understanding the consequences of poor eating habits, students are more likely to adopt healthier behaviors. Subsequently, schools can provide a supportive environment where healthy eating is not only taught but also encouraged through school meals and activities. This can shape students’ habits during a critical stage in their development. Taking into account, the more the nutritional education proposals are implemented in the school institution, the more the activity and nutrition of schoolchildren will elevate.

On the other hand, there are also challenges and drawbacks to relying too heavily on schools for nutritional education. Initially, not all students may take these lessons seriously, especially if healthy habits are not supported at home. Moreover, adding more content to the curriculum could place additional pressure on both students and teachers, who are already managing a heavy academic workload. Some might argue that parents, rather than schools, should be primarily responsible for teaching children about nutrition, as they control what children eat at home. Hence, the more the nutritional education proposals are implemented in the school institution, the more the activity of schoolchildren will increase due to the heavy workload.

Taking everything into consideration, while there are valid concerns about overloading the school curriculum, the benefits of educating students about healthy eating outweigh the drawbacks. While I agree that schools can play a vital role in promoting healthy lifestyles, it is also important to consider the potential limitations of this approach. I recommend, that schools should indeed play a stronger role in promoting nutritional awareness, but this should be done in collaboration with families and communities to ensure a lasting impact.
