In order to reduce traffic congestion some governments are taking various measures while some governments are using expensive fuel method. In my opinion rising fuel cost is the most effective option.
Having an increase in the number of cars leads to more traffic congestion and emits a great deal of exhaust gas.Today , many people using cars for daily purposes such as commuting work, going shopping , visiting relatives and so on. Consequently ,this trend is leading to traffic jams and sudden accidents on roads.Increased fuel cost minimizes traffic on roads because using private car doubles expenses which may result in lack of finance , so as not live in poor lifestyle humans will have to use public transportation or bikes .To illustrate as an example, a math teacher whose salary is average $5 cannot afford purchasing fuel every day for driving as a result he or she would rather using public transportation.
By rising fuel cost not only traffic will reduce but also the rate of pollution will decrease . For example, a car drove average 15 000 kilometers emits 3 ton of gas whilst, there are 10 000 cars on roads .Besides, there is noise pollution which is attributed by car signals.
To sum up , with a view to decrease traffic congestion , increasing fuel cost is the best way. By doing so not only traffic jam reduces but also air pollution minimizes .
