Carrying guns shoud not be allowed for people since it increases crime and violence in society. Although there might be some arguments to oppose this, I completely agree with this view for a number of reasons.
On the one hand, there are several causes why individuals should be prohibited from carrying guns. To begin with, in fact, people with guns increase crime and violence in society. The reason for this is that governments give rights to carry guns for all in which there may be some who have no experience in using them. Consequently, untrained individuals pose risks to societies using guns improperly. For instance, in Brazil, all citizens are allowed to carry guns but it poses different kinds of problems from the increase of minor crimes, such as theft and fraud to vicious killing people with guns.
On the other hand, some people would argue that individuals ought to be allowed to carry guns in society. From this perspective, carrying guns for self-defense might be useful when it comes to the life-or-death situations. This stems from the fact that all people have at least a 1% chance of encountering criminals in their lives. Thus, the thought of carrying guns for self-defense may be true when confronting these sorts of circumstances. Take the case of Brazil once again, where individuals are allowed to carry guns for self-defense. The inhabitants always have guns in order to defend themselves when facing bad people and it in fact prevents small crimes, including theft and fraud.
In conclusion, even though allowing people to carry guns, in turn, might seem practical, whether it comes to minor crimes or life-and-death situations, I am firmly of the opinion that carrying guns should be prohibited for individuals as it increases crime and violence in society.
