In this modern era, international tourism has been rising rapidly and many people are greatly impacted by this trend. I believe that international tourism has certain strengths; however, its drawbacks are more significant. This essay will shed some light on both the advantages and disadvantages of the notion in the ensuing paragraphs.
To commence with, there are certain advantages of international tourism. One of the major merits of multinational tourism is that they boost the country’s economy. To elaborate on it, international travel departments provide job opportunities to the individuals and international tourism was brought enormous benefits. Besides the employment, it will boost the country’s GDP, for instance, it will lead to a raise in the employment rate and national economic standards. Through international tourism, tourist’s visit sites that are attractive by nature and provide another method to strengthen the country’s identity to be made known and more foreign tourists drive to that country to visit those cultures, so it leads to recognition at a global level.
On the contrary, there are numerous disadvantages of traveling to any country. One of the drawbacks of international tourism is the overcrowding of tourists when a mass of travelers visit any country or any place; it creates chaotic environmental issues. It is an undeniable consequence of mass tourism, which leads to the pollution and damage of the environment. Another major drawback of tourism is that it impacts the cost of living. To elaborate on it, it leads to a rise in the cost of accommodation and vehicle rentals. It may hurt the living standards of indigenous people or locals.
To conclude , I opine that international tourism has numerous positive effects like economic growth and so on , however it’s disadvantages are overlapping it’s benefits.
