Additionally, a large number of tourists flock to the host country, injecting money into the local economy. Thus, although the initial investment is high, the long-term economic gains can be substantial. For instance, countries like Qatar which is the successful host nation for World Cup have reaped the rewards in terms of both economic development and international recognition.
In short, while the costs involves are considerable, hosting international events can serve as a strategic investment in a nation’s future.
