Currently, it is believed that workers over the age of 50 are not able to adapt quickly to modern changes in the system, and for this reason, preference is given to young workers. I don’t agree with that.
Firstly, many older workers have a wealth of experience, thanks to which they can offer valuable ideas and solutions based on their knowledge and skills. The experience of employees over the age of 50 can be a valuable asset for a company. Secondly, it is important to take into account the individual abilities and motivation of each employee, and not just focus on age. Many senior employees show high flexibility and willingness to learn, and are also able to effectively implement new ideas and technologies.
On the other hand, while younger workers may be more acquainted with certain modern technologies, this doesn’t automatically translate into a greater capacity for innovation.
Thus, I believe that preference in the workplace should not be given exclusively to young workers. It is important to evaluate the potential and professional qualities of each employee, regardless of their age.
