In my neighbourhood, construction of movie theatre has been announced. I would react positively to this development, as there are several benefits of having such amenities nearby. Some of the advantages of having movie hall in own area are discussed in this essay.
One of the contributions of buildings that attract a large crowd to the locality is the growth of local businesses. For example, restaurants and cafes located around the movie theatre can experience sudden surge in number of customers. This is because people enjoy eating out after watching movies. Similarly, alongside increasing customers, the eateries providing various food options would open in a significant number. Due to this, competition between the vendors begins, further resulting in availability of affordable, diverse and quality food in the neighbourhood.
Another advantage of opening of movie hall in my community would be the improvement in transportation facilities. As such spaces are major hubs in cities and towns, the number of people travelling to and from there rises. To meet the need of travellers, new public transportation to the route could be added. Additionally, as the flow of people is constant even at nights due to the night shows, availability of transportation services at any hour is likely to make the commuting of other residents at night convenient.
All in all, possibility of construction of movie hall in my locality, in long run, indicates blooming local economy and enhanced commuting facilities. Therefore, opposing to such beneficial initiative is equal to preventing development of own surrounding.
