It is true that taking a gap year has been increasingly prevalent among several graduates from their high schools. While it offers merits and demerits, I would agree that it is better to enhance high education straightway if high school students accomplish their educational programs.
The option of deciding to taking a gap year is postive effects to some extent. Firstly, it helps new graduates to have more concrete achievement-orientation in their career path. Given that they realize their weakness and streghten as well as preferences, graduate individuals could improve the ability to make a decision about career and to make their clear future plans, if buying themselves sometime to experience different types of specialisations. Another positive aspect is that travel can broaden their horizons and expose them to various cultures, contributing to their radical changes of scenery and acceptance.
On the other hand, taking a gap year brings about drawbacks. The first problem is that it could cause them to worsen their educational achievements and performence when they are back to school. Because knowledge requires learners to review it continuously otherwise it wears off, the learners could feel difficult studying again and keeping up with others once leaving educational courses for a long time. Moreover, taking a gap year, while aids students to identify career goals, could simultaneously pose waste of time and money. Versifing these individual objectives is easy to obtain by getting involved in families and orientate programs, as a result, it does not necessitate a gap year.
In conclusion, it seems to me that there are many disadvantages for spending a year after graduation from high schools on traveling and working due to lessening academic accomplishments and productivity and inefficient use of time and money, although it has some notable advantages.
