It is often said that students should live in hotels, hostels and dormitories instead of staying at home with their parents during university life as it can provide more time to focus on studies and fewer distractions. I will support this view with arguments in the following paragraphs.
To begin with, the main reason that makes living away from home more beneficial is study encouragement. To fully focus more on the curriculum and study course, life in the university or its near creates an environment which has fewer distractions than students can face at home. So that students can spend more time revising the lectures after classes at a library instead of wasting almost an hour at family dinners. If they now can read more books, their grades at the university will go up.
Furthermore, studying away from your loved ones is a step toward adult life as students have to quit their comfort zone where their parents take care of them all the time. So living at the university would be helpful in terms of self-management, because, students will know how to do housework such as cleaning a room, washing their clothes, and even cooking. These useful skills will never be learned if they stay with their parents in the house where mothers always do these types of work.
In conclusion, I believe that living away from home is more important and beneficial
than staying with your parents. This is because living near the university gives you a motivational environment for your studies outside of classes and an opportunity to get well-known for caring for yourself.
