It is widely believed that it is crucial for all towns and cities to build large public outdoor places like squares and parks. From my perspective, I agree with the opinion that having more public outdoor places like these can yield tremendous benefits, and the specific reasons that can support my point of views are as follows.
To begin with, constructing more squares and parks will attract people to go out, because they can go shopping, take a walk in the park, or dance in the square, which will enrich people’s lives and beautify the city, improving air quality, attracting foreign tourists to experience the local culture in the park, enhancing the economic benefits brought by tourism, so is the quality of life of local residents, opening more schools, and enhance the quality of education. Furthermore, it is also making the local areas selected as pivotal development regions that allures people to come here for the sake of seeking employment, which thereby, will promote the economic development, and retain the people with outstanding faculties.
However, it will lead to inevitable drawbacks, like traffic jam, environmental pollution, increased employment pressure, more severe competition among the students, and a widening gap between poor and rich that are counterproductive.
In conclusion, although constructing more parks and squares will yield foreseeable benefits that will boost the cities’ and towns’ growth, it is of importance to strike a balance while embracing the advantages brought.
