In contemporary society, the use of animals for food, clothing and medicines is unnecessary. I strongly agree with this idea. I personally believe it is an advantageous tendency.
For one thing, the use of animals for food could be replaced. Specially, with the rise of the vegetarianism, plant-based diets and artificial foods have become increasingly popular and accessible. A variety of plant-based foods can provide the necessary nutrients for people and it tastes like meat but much healthier.
On the other hand, Synthetic fabric replaces animal hair as an alternative, such as polyester and nylon, along with natural fibers like cotton, hemp, and bamboo, can replace leather, wool, and fur. This is good for the sustainable development of the environment. because they reduce the need for animal farming, which is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions and deforestation. Many traditional medicines relied on animal parts, but modern science has enabled the synthesis of these compounds in laboratories.
In conclusion, I argue that the necessity of using animals for food, clothing, and medicines has significantly diminished due to technological and scientific advancements is beneficial for social development and human progress.
