Band 6+: It is not necessary to travel to other places to learn the culture of other people. We can learn just as much from books, films and the internet. Do you agree or disagree?

Some people believe that visual forms of travelling are becoming more populous, so it is not essential to travel around the world. From my perspective, I am not in favour of this view for some reasons.

It is undeniable that travelling to another country may bring a huge of benefits that everyone should have once in life. First of all, People can enjoy and learn new things through real experiences. New places and people can bring travellers to new lands like a fairy world in the cartoons that they have to learn and explore. From that, they have more chances to understand deeply foreign cultures and lifestyles which helps goers gain a comprehensive mindset. Along with the pieces of knowledge, These people are able to learn new soft skills, especially, adaptation skills. For example, many travellers or students are not familiar with the time and food of strange countries, but they need to get on well with these things to continue their life in the new place.

However, with the advent of technology and cultural forms, people can have new ways to travel without spending a large of money and time. Visual travelling is more popular specially during COVID-19 when everyone is isolated with the social. Instead of going out to know what is happening around the world, People can use Google map features to go anywhere they want. Despite saving time and money, this means of travelling still has limitations. People cannot have real and memorable experiences, and films or videos may not always reflect correctly as they see. This can lead them to a limited mindset if they just sit at home and believe in the perfect things on TV.

In conclusion, Travelling is not just going and having fun, It can bring us to a lot of sources of knowledge. Each experience might not be perfect, but should travellers combine knowledge from documents with true experience, it will be more precious.
