There has been a huge emphasis on history worldwide. Some people argue that each country should have their original historical objects back. While I completely agree with this view, I think safety measures regarding intricacy of historical objects should be carefully taken into account.
At the outset, there are several primary motives why historical artifacts should be returned to the country they belong to. One of them is cultural significance. As artifacts undeniably hold deep cultural place and historical significance, they can be considered as a window to the past. They are indispensable part of a nation’s history and identity. Without them, people donnot have wider chance to learn about their own history, and they need to go tos another country – which is something that not everyone wants in today’s busy world. However should they are returned, it would be great way for people to reconnection with their historical heritage. It, of course, strengthen their national identity.
More often than not, having historical objects within the country brings about economic and tourism benefits. To be clearer, they are bound to boost tourism. Since, people from different corners of the globe and history buffs are often eager to visiting historical sites or places like museums – where artifacts have cultural importance and long history. This results in economic growth, creating in job market.
That notwithstanding, I believe that importance of safety and preservation should be neglected. Since some historical artifacts are very fragile and the process of returning them is highly likely to pose risks of damage. Before taking this operation, countries receiving such objects again must ensure everything they need to preserve them is perfect – necessary infrastructure and expertise. Otherwise, it can cost a lot and make them worse instead for the better.
To conclude, while historical artifacts should be returned due to benefits, – tightening cultural connection and economic growth, I believe preservation and safety are critical considerations to ensure they remain without damage for future generations.
