There is a widespread belief that individuals who decide to pursue their career paths early in life have greater chance to witness a satisfying life than those who choose different interests and frequent job switches. This essay will discuss this view ultimately proving that I totally disagree with this state.
First, and foremost argument to resist this view is that pursuing only one career path cannot give such good feelings like satisfaction. After a long time period spending time in one area, there is a high chance that current work of an individual will become unstimulating, since brain will not get dopamine anymore on situations that repeat many times. Although improvement in one particular area significantly increases the chance for success, they cannot get back the time for happiness. Furthermore the people who choose their career path only once may miss to experience valuable times which would have been spent to things that might broaden their worldwiew.
On the other hand, benefits of the various interests should not be overlooked. Although pursuing different jobs and interests do not ensure successful future, from my perspective it is much more stimulating and compelling than one career. Moreover, these types of people are tend to know numerous valuable life lessons, since they see various new places and attend numerous interests. In addition, experiencing new relationships, works, emotions give constant flow of dopamine which means that a person will have much more satisfied attitude to life.
Overall, it is clear that disadvantages are far much stronger. I believe that emotions hold greater significance in human life than success.
