Forcing children who don’t possess artistic talent acquire painting and drawing skills in art classes at school is not always best decision made by parents. The correct approach is entertaining kids on creative and practical subjects.
Forcing someone to do something they don’t have a willing to do always brings a negative affection and even can make them hate to do it. For instance, when we were child we were used to go out, play, run and have fun with friends, however when we go to high school, our coaches require us to run on the playground after having 5-6 lessons in a row. At the result, most pupils end up hating running. Nowadays, the same approach is being practised with painting and drawing skills in art lessons at school.
In my view, the most welcomed way for children to get knowledge is training their mind by focusing on practical and creative subjects. I believe that things such as cognitive or critical thinking are training when we put our efforts on creative and practical subjects. The greatest chess players of the world are well educated on creative and practical subjects.
In conclusion, before sending kids into art education sections, it will be much wiser to get aware of their wish about it, if the answer is negative, we must entertain them to concentrate on other subjects.
