Band 5+: It is sometimes said that young people want too much freedom and pay too little attention to the advice of older people. Do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In the modern world, There is no doubt that adolescents are aware of innovative approaches to using cutting-edge technology tools. Thus, most of the time, young people are able to ignore the oldest recommendations according to their current thoughts, which I will elaborate on in this essay.

On the one hand, in old times, the young ones were all about taking advice from the oldest ones, such as family elders or grandparents. They became a mentor or adviser for youth until technology replaced their occupations. New generations are extremely bright as a button and ask for something applicable and state-of-the-art. That’s why old people generally do not catch the new ideas that are useful and relevant for the youngest ones and remain in a stable field without innovative thinking. By way of example, I am always eager to be a forward thinker compared to my mother, due to the fact that she always insists on something that she wants to do or not and hesitates about technological equipment.

On the other hand, young people love feeling freedom in order to boost their self-esteem and self-confidence. Apart from this, feeling freedom is a tangible emotion that is associated with self-discovery, which pertains to taking risks or embarking on a mystery adventure. Although the oldest ones support that young people should stay in a safe and risk-free place for their lives and think that young people’s attitudes went over the oldest ones’ heads. Ultimately, these diverse breakthroughs are prone to being unnecessary according to the parents or old people, and this situation can cause some conflicts between young and old ones.

Considering all the points mentioned above, technological advice and current innovative ideas can lead to detrimental problems for young people and old ones. Subsequently, people should strike a balance for their relationships to have healthy communication.
