Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

In modern times, the issue of undertaking a period of voluntary work has become quite arguable. However, many people think that all young adults ought to undertake a period of community work, helping in the community. In this essay, I will examine both the advantages and disadvantages of the topic and argue that the benefits are more than the drawbacks.

From an overall perspective, the matter provides several advantages. The most obvious one is that young individuals who do voluntary work because they want to help people without expecting any kind of return. Although it takes time, they will be able to improve their personal skills. For example, someone who does community service will do many kinds of work, such as rescue work. Thus, it will help him to experience something new, which can increase his confidence. Another motive for helping people without any pay is the desire to find a new world. For instance, people who do this work can understand other people’s feelings, which can help them become empathetic persons. These are the major merits of the topic.

Despite these advantages, it also has some shortcomings. The main limitation is that if young people undertake a certain period for helping the community, it may affect their study purpose. To illustrate, a young individual who does voluntary work cannot focus on his studies because he is busy to doing his work. Moreover, it is a risky job for young people because . A strong reference to this is that when flood comes and young people try to help everyone, it will be very risky for them because they are not capable to do this type of work. These are the primary demerits of this issue.

In conclusion, the advantages and disadvantages of this topic are numerous and various. However, if we look at both sides closely, it is clear that although sometimes young people may suffer from difficult situations, young people should undertake a period of voluntary work for helping community people, and the advantages outweigh the disadvantages.
