Band 4+: It is the responsibility of schools to teach children good behavior in addition to providing formal education. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Note: Both the topic and the essay were created by one of our users.

School is responsible to teach children good behavior along with formal education. This statement is very strict. I think it is partly wrong, and partly right. Some people believe, that it is right, others have completely opposite view.

Initially, school is not only the place were children recieve education, but also a place were they train their social skills. Children spend most of their time in school, so it is clear that school have influence on individual behaviour. Secondly, school also a build kids character. Every child behave as its normal in their environment. Consequently, it depends on how all children in class act, and good manners must be normalized. Therefore, position of people who agree with given statement it is also reasonable.

Others can not claim this opinion as right, due to having enough reasons to argue with that. First and foremost, teaching children to act good it is not only teachers duty. For example, even if tutors try to teach children, they still can have bad manners. It relay also to friends of individual. Therefore, it is not right to put all responsibility to school. Moreover, it has no meaning to teach to good behaviour because it don’t have any effect to educational programme. For instance, if children have bad manners, they still able to be good at math.

The fact, that schools must provide additional teaching to great behaviour, is very questionable. So, I can not totally agree or disagree, both views have different and important points.
