There is a popular belief that sweeping changes in the educational setting of teachers and students will take place by 2050. From my own perspective, I completely agree with this viewpoint due to several reasons, including the dominance of robots in teaching and learning as well as the popularity of state-of-the-art technologies.
First and foremost, there is strong evidence that by the year 2050, the majority of teaching duties will be performed by robots. For instance, lessons will be delivered and tasks will be automatically assigned to learners by robots, which is totally different from traditional classes where these tasks are mostly done by teachers. Nevertheless, instructors will not be completely replaced by humanoid robots in the classrooms, but they will rather play the role of monitors. In particular, they will act as supervisors for robots’ performance and make appropriate adjustments whenever necessary.
Secondly, there will be a significant changes in teaching practices thanks to advancement in technology. First, there will be a substantial increase in the number of online classes. Specifically, with only one simple click, individuals can be easily accessible to online courses from every corner of the world. This not only helps to minimize the cost of learning but also brings a lot of convenience to students, gradually decreasing the number of offline classes. Additionally, there will definitely be more technological devices and applications applied in educational setting. Students will learn mainly through modern tools and apps, including smart phones, online quizzes, AI platforms, which enhances students’ learning experience and effectiveness.
In brief, significant changes in future teaching and learning are predictable because of the rising popularity of robots and state-of-the-art technologies. I believe that the aforementioned adjustments are beneficial for future learners.
