People’s interests related to the topics of problems in learning a foreign language and solutions to overcome these difficulties have become a controversial topic in today’s world. While some argue that learning a new language is extremely difficult due to various challenges, I believe that these problems can be effectively solved with proper methods and strategies.
Advocates of the idea that language learning is difficult come up with different reasons to support their viewpoints. First of all, the most promising disadvantage of learning a foreign language is connected to complexity. The reason is that learners often struggle with grammar rules, pronunciation, and unfamiliar vocabulary. In addition, many students lack confidence when speaking a new language, which makes the process even harder. For instance, beginners may feel nervous while speaking English because they are afraid of making mistakes.
On the other hand, the positives of using effective solutions, in my view, are likely to outweigh the advantages of focusing only on difficulties. Put simply, the most profound advantage revolves around practice. If learners practice regularly and use the language in real-life situations, they can gradually improve their skills, which results in greater fluency and confidence. In response to these abovementioned arguments, many people, including me, feel obligated to advocate the idea of using practical strategies to learn languages.
Taking every single argument into consideration, although learning a foreign language can be challenging offers a lot of valid points, I believe that applying effective learning methods has a greater number of positives which are highly appreciated by many individuals in the long run.
