Phases of buyer debt are witnessed increases across the world. A new subject, which is about managing personal finances should be added in secondary schools in order to resolve the issue which is stem from this increase. I hardly agree with this argument, as people need to learn how to find certain solutions themselves when they experience financial problems which can be good for self-improvement. Moreover, it wouldn’t be beneficial for the pupils who don’t care about school subjects enough and the money would be allocated to this subject should be alloted to classes such as science and history.
First of all, one of the reasons why I disagree is that people should learn how to solve financial situations when they are in hard circumstances about managing money, because this learning journey can improve individuals. It is plausible to learn certain subjects well in schools, but there are some situations that people can’t understand what to do without experiencing them. Humans can also have good changes after these experiences. To illustrate, a young man who is never lived in a big city can’t know how to allot money for transportation, purchasing some product and etc. But he would be able to manage his money after living in the city a few years.
On the other hand, this kind of subject wouldn’t be an advantage for the students who are labeled as lazy. Most of the time, they are tend to be careless to classes and they can hardly learn new things from this subject. For instance, a guy named John may be a good artist, however, he can have not any interest to other subjects. Even a lesson about managing money, thus, he couldn’t saw this subject’s benefits.
Additionally, schools should appropriate their money to other subjects rather than managing personal finances. In order to teach this lesson, certain sources may be needed and an amount of money should be allocated to it. Nevertheless, this money can be used for other subjects which may be more beneficial to learn at school. For example, more sources for physics can be obtained with the money which would be alloted to managing money classes.
To conclude, I don’t believe that a subject about managing personal finances should be introduced in secondary schools to find resolutions for the issues of the increase of consumer debt. Due to reasons that people need to learn managing without the help of school for their self-improvement and this kind of lessons may not be good for all the students. Additionally, if the schools take money for other classes, they would spend it more beneficially.
