Numerous countries all over the world are suffering from a sharply rising crime rate among teenagers. Undoubtedly, there are various causes that lead to this phenomenon, but there are also some steps that should be taken to tackle this issue.
In my opinion, the reasons for this problem depend on three pillars. Firstly, parental and home neglect are vital factors that could magnify the trouble. For instance, due to the increased burden of expenditures on parents, they don’t have time to participate in their children’s problems. Also, they don’t share their experiences with facing troubles. Secondly, nowadays, schools are more lenient with students. The graded approach to punishment should be applied to prevent pupils from committing serious mistakes. Finally, rigorous laws should be implemented by authorities for any level of crime, especially offenses that threaten public security.
According to the solutions that are intended to cease this problem, they could be summarized into three factors. Foremost in family duties, the parents should be assertive with kids, but at the same time, they should be friendly with them. It is a difficult equation, but they should listen to their problems and take part in the solution; however, they must not allow young people to cross the line. Furthermore, schools shall foster societal values and principles that could protect them from offense. Also, develop the ambitions of pupils and encourage them to be accomplished individuals in the community. Ultimately, governments shall encourage the voluntary work of teenagers to allocate their energies to something useful for society.
In conclusion, paradoxically, the reasons for the increasing crime level among adults are the same. Home, schools, and society should cooperate to dissolve this trouble.
