Nowadays, with the tendency of urbanisation some people believe that living in a city is more beneficial than staying in rural area. From my perspective, benefits of living in an urban area outweigh the drawbacks.
First of all, cities provide better job opportunities and, therefore, generate more income for an individual. Higher wages of urban area workers mean better life conditions, compared to those who stay and work on a lower paid jobs of rural towns and villages. Modern residents of cities can afford better housing conditions, their consumer ability to buy high quality food and various commodities is higher.
Second of all, acces to more advanced health care make living in cities more comfortable and easier. It is vital for individuals with critical conditions to have the ability to call for an emergency, for example, and do not wait for hours until it arrives. To have regular appointments with doctors and health check-ups are much more conveniet in cities too. In the case of villages and tiny towns, that often do not even have an own hospital, an individual is requiered to rely on public trunsport or on their own vehicle to get to the medical centre located in the nearest city.
All of those listed above makes quality of life of the citizens of the urban areas better in general, if compared to those commodities rural residents have access to. With the lower payment villagers receive working for local businesses, their consumer ability is inferior. Besides, the dependency on the transport to receive health care also might be considered as a drawback. This is why, in my opinion, the quality of life insise the urban areas is higher.
