Higher education can enhance life by securing a job. Some people state that accomplishing university course guarantees a job. While others, However, believe that practical skills play upper-hand role rather than traditional education method for securing a job. I believe that practical skills matter however a degree from university can make bridge across professional life.
Degrees from university make the path into professional life easily. For most of the specialized profession they must require degrees. For instance, Getting a job in nasa requires specialized individuals; like the role of a electrical engineer the require heavy conceptual foundation as one mistake can cost hundreds of lives. Moreover, a single mistake can lead to million of dollars into vain.
Conversely, Practical skills gaining without a degree has benefits as well as drawbacks. It is much better for a person getting skills rather than entirely focusing on degrees as in the real world industries are likely to select candidate with experience rather than degree alone. For example, by the time student accomplish their degrees they likely step foot on thirties or mid thirties, but gaining skills after school will help student to secure a better job opportunities without worrying of unpredictability of job market. However, this also has some drawbacks; most of the industrial companies strictly require to have their candidate to at least have a degree; and for interview their system is designed to filter out unmatched candidate, and securing a job will become nothing but a day dream.
In conclusion, Getting higher degree for securing a job and acquiring only practical skill both have their benefit and detrimental effect. In my opinion, it would be better for individuals to get a degree simultaneously developing knowledge
