It is argued that people should take responsibility for one another as the world is perceived as one large village. I largely agree with this view due to international cooperation is essential for solving urgent problems and progress depends more on cooperation in business; however, independence is important.
The main reason I believe that is international cooperation which is crucial for tackling global problems. Many issues, including climate change, pandemics, and natural disasters often require global cooperation to address, as countries cannot tackle solely themselves. During Covid-19, people needed to work together in order to cure and eventually they created a vaccine successfully. As a result, many people were saved across the globe with the help of collaboration of Germany and the US pharmaceutical companies that introduced a new vaccine.
In addition, global cooperation relies heavily on international cooperation in the business sector. This is because most nations do not have sufficient food, labor, or resources to meet their needs, including; Russia do not have opportunity to grow vegetables and fruits which means that it relies on other countries’ cooperation to supply country with enough food. Thereby, international cooperation is essential for sharing resources.
However, depending on others may make country weak meaning that nations can not solve problems themselves. If countries focuses on its own development, it builds self-sufficiency and economic independence. Instead of waiting for others nations’ aid, countries can solve their own problems.
In conclusion, I mostly agree with this view since international cooperation plays an indispensable role for tackling global issues and build strong economic cooperation. Nevertheless, I acknowledge that self-reliance is also crucial.
