In the modern world, hunting animals became common thing because of the many reasons, such as decorative purposes or traditional medicine. Additionally, the number of those occasions is significantly increasing every day and there are several ways how to prevent it. This essay will explore this trend and solution will be given.
First and foremost, it is clearly evident that some species of rare fauna, such as tropic or arctic animals are endangered, due to the fact that the number of collectors, who are interested in unique animals’ parts of body, such as the skull or leather, is enormous. For instance, it is a common thing to see the tiger’s or bear’s leather in wealthy person’s home. From their perspective having such of those things is indicator of status or prestige. However, the best way to prevent such hobby is to ban the hunting of animals in exact territories, be it Sahara or Amazon forests.
Beyond that, some people hunt animals for medical purpose, precisely for traditional medicine. In some parts of the world the local public could have a belief about the benefits of some species’ entrails. For example, in the USSR people used to use a bull’s blood to produce a beneficial chocolate bar which was very popular among all citizens of the USSR. It was the main reason why government of the USSR reinforced the hunting for bulls in that moment. Even though, soviet people had stopped to use that product because of ethical manners and from my point of view, enhancing of ethics along whole world could solve the problem of endangering of several species.
In conclusion, it is evident that problem of hunting is crucial even nowadays. Also, governments should solve that problem as soon as possible, for example by using alternative materials which are very similar to animal’s products.
