Most people think that healthcare should be focused more on other things by the government. I completely agree with this view, as it fosters healthy development of the young generation and prevents potential dangerous illnesses.
To begin with, I believe prioritizing health care helps to improve the overall well-being of the coming generation. This is mainly due to preventative healthcare, such as regular screenings that are essential in finding diseases in their early stages and vaccination programs to make children immune to infectious illnesses by the governments. As a result, an increasing number of children will avoid suffering diseases that may lead to disastrous consequences, such as disability or even death. As far as I am concerned, almost every country has such programs to ensure the healthy development of its youths, as children are regarded as the future of a nation.
Another benefit of prioritizing health care by the government is to reduce the risk of spreading infectious diseases among the public. This is primarily due to emergency services that work 24/7. As soon as they are informed about contagious diseases like rabies, measles, and flu, they will rush for help and isolate patients to a specially designed room to avoid spread of the illness. After that, doctors and medical staff who are equipped with special suits take care of patients until they are fully recovered. In turn, it reduces future healthcare expenditure and helps to curb mortality rates in a country. For instance, while Covid-19, almost every country announced a quarantine with strict rules, such as wearing masks all the time and not greeting with a handshake. These initiatives played a pivotal role in saving a large proportion of the population.
In conclusion, although some argue that other sectors are more crucial than health care, I firmly believe that the opposite is true, as it offers more advantages in the long run.
